The Buzz About Me

Special thanks to Jacluts for giving me a headache thinking of answers to all her questions! hahaha. Just kidding! :)

1) What is your favorite college memory?

Actually, I have 2 favorite college memories.

The first one were all the times spent with my "chinatown" tambayan-mates. We were around 30 students more or less. The first year we got together, we made do with our higad infested benches at the Quad. We were freshmen at the time and had no choice! haha. But by the time we reached junior year, we upgraded and had 4 whole benches along edsawalk all to ourselves! I remember all the times spent just hanging around, bonding with each other, playing pusoy dos, eating sharksfin siomai and sandwiches from Food For Thought. I remember all the laughter and tears we shared together, all the hopes and dreams we formed with each other, and all the promises to remain friends forever. Did that just rhyme?? :) But seriously, I believe having that wonderful group of friends with me made my college years the best years of my life!

My other favorite college memory is actually just an off shoot of my first one. We were 6 in the group and together, we conquered and ruled Junior Year Marketing class! hahaha. Just kidding about that conquering and ruling part! :P All of us more or less came from the same tambayan and we were Toymakers, Inc. We came up with a great marketing plan about (don't laugh ok?) Jolina dolls! :) haha! I had the best of time working on that project! We had meetings at starbucks, overnights, escapades and even trips to Divisoria. We really bonded, diba Moan? :) I would never trade that experience for anything in the world.

Shet... now I'm getting senti. This is all your fault Jac! :)

2) What do you think is the biggest misconception that people have about you?

Hmm... the biggest misconception? Maybe the fact that people think I'm high maintenance? I don't really know why? A friend once told me that he thinks I'm intimidating and that I'm a high maintenance kind of girl! I don't think so! :) Not true at all. Mababaw lang nga kaligayahan ko eh. :) I'm fairly easy to please.

3) Describe your ideal partner

Umm... this is gonna be long! :P Just kidding!

Number one on my list is that he has to have a great sense of humor! I don't believe that any relationship could ever last without laughter. We should be able to laugh at everything and anything, no matter how silly or crazy it might be.

He has to be patient, understanding and open to new ideas. He should be willing to go on "adventures" with me. This is easy... 'coz trying out a new restaurant or going to a new mall is already considered an adventure! :P

He should be someone I could talk to about anything, everything and absolutely nothing! :)

And of course, he has to be a one-woman man! :)

4) What is your biggest fear?

My biggest fear? To be buried alive! Just thinking about it gives me the creeps!

And to grow old alone. I think this is the saddest thing that could ever happen to anyone.

5) What is the one thing you don't get about men?

I don't get men and their obsession with their hair! For some reason, they don't want their hair to be touched. Why is that? And I thought women were supposed to be more vain? ;P

Flower Arrangement

Yesterday was the last day of our flower arrangement seminar. Next week, we'll be moving on to more serious topics like kitchen and bathroom designs. Aww... just when we were starting to have fun! :)

Anyway, my groupmates and I went to dangwa (said to be the flower central of manila) on Monday afternoon to buy fresh flowers and grabe, super init! We went from stall to stall, from manang to manang, checking out the flowers and their prices. At first I was still excited to haggle since it was my first time to go there, but after walking around in the heat, constantly worrying that my bag might get stolen and sweating like a pig, I don't care anymore! I just want to buy the flowers and go home! Mark kept on laughing at me and jodie coz we look kawawa daw - all sweaty and harrassed! hahaha!

Tuesday afternoon. The day of our presentation.
For our theme, our group decided on a Baby Shower arrangement. We thought we were being original, but it turned out that 2 other groups also went for the same theme! O well...! haha. :) We didn't want to go the usual pink and blue, so we opted for yellow and lilac. Yey! It turned out great! Everything was worth it! :) Plus we got a score of 100 no less! I'm so happy!

Here are some pics of our presentation! :)

Tagaytay FOOD Trip

It's 2:15am right now and I can't sleep! I think it's because my stomach is still fully awake trying to digest everything that I ate today. I did nothing but eat, eat and eat!! I feel like I gained 30 pounds!! Waaaah! And here I was, proud and happy that I was able to drag myself to the gym twice this week! Sayang lang pala!

Anyway, let me start from the beginning. My ama had friends from Taiwan who came over to visit Manila, and my relatives wanted to bring them to Tagaytay Highlands. I didn't want to go at first, because it's sunday and I wanted to sleep and lounge at home the whole day. But then I also realized that there's no school on monday and I can do that then. Besides, I've only been to Tagaytay Highlands once before and I wanted to experience it again.

So at 9am, I dragged myself out of bed, convincing myself that I should go. Even though we're only going to Tagaytay, it's still an adventure! Why waste the opportunity diba? It's not often that the Dee Family ever goes on out-of-town trips. I want to be part of it! :)

After approximately 2 hours of travel, we arrived there by 12nn. We spent an hour touring the place, taking photos (of course!) and figuring out where to eat. Did you know that there are 37 restaurants in Tagaytay Highlands alone? Anyway, we went to this chinese restaurant and stayed there until almost 3pm, eating a full lauriat and enjoying the airconditioning. hehehe! Super init sa labas eh!

Immediately after that, we rode the cable car to go to this other place higher up in the mountains. The view was fantastic! But because it was so hot and humid inside that cable car, I had to concentrate on breathing and not fainting! :P

As soon as we arrived there, guess what we did? We ate! At first, I didn't really feel like ordering anything, but because it was so hot and everybody was eating, I couldn't resist! I had to order their halo-halo with ube ice cream! I told myself that I'm just gonna skip dinner because I don't think I can eat another bite anymore. Turns out I can't do that pala!

After eating our "merienda/dessert", we all piled back into our vans and started going back to Manila. I think I fell asleep, because when I woke up, it was dark already. I looked out and realized with a sinking feeling that "oh no! we're not going home pala! I think kakain tayo ulit!"

True enough, we went to Gloria Maris to have dinner! To those people who know me, they can attest to the fact that I am matakaw. I can't just sit there and look at everyone eating! Who can resist peking ducks?? Well, I can't! hahaha. :)

So here I am, a millions pounds heavier. And to try and make up for everything I ate today, I am now writing this blog standing up! hahaha! :P

Burp!
